Wardrobe Station

If you’re new to my blog you will notice a definite trend in trying to help my girls (even as toddlers) be as independent in their daily routine as possible.

This stems from my love of the Montessori Method and I try to incorporate those philosophies in our everyday routine!

The reason behind this is so that they can be free to pick out their outfits independently and I can be sure that in some way they will still match/be presentable for school.

1. I bought two Trofast Storage Units from Ikea and screwed them together. I then anchored those units to the wall to avoid a tipping hazard.

2. On one side I used three Ikea Trofast Storage boxes and on the other I used a small tension rod

3. To make it simple I narrowed down their wardrobes to three items (Tops, Bottoms and Dresses) and used printable (available below) to label the bins.

4. Socks & Underwear: My girls share these items so for these I made a separate unit using Target Pillowfort Stackable Wood Bins and labeled them accordingly.

5. To finish off your space add hamper for dirty clothes and a mirror so they can check out their outfit choices to really make this space fully functional for them!
