You take a million pictures of your kids, right? Thought so! Read on if you’re looking for a way to organize them all! Or at least all the good ones.
It all started when I got pregnant with my first daughter. I wanted to document everything from pregnancy and beyond! Growing up my mom had photo albums for everything. You remember the ones where you actually had to print out the pictures? Our favorite past time as kids/teens (and even now) was flipping through them all. Then, all through my teen years, I was a scrapbooker. So my love of organizing pictures originated way before the digital years. Now, as you well know, everything is on our iPhones, computers and cameras. One crazy virus and they all could be wiped cleaned. Which is my biggest fear by the way!
I decided to make a digital pregnancy journal so my daughter could someday see just how excited we were to be growing her in my belly! I loved the outcome so much that I decided I needed more of these! From there, I decided to make her an “on the day I was born” book. After countless nights with no sleep the memory of that amazing day when you welcome your new bundle of joy into the world can become such a blur. I made sure to take notes as soon as I could after she was born. I went back to text messages, Facebook posts everything I could and I pieced together that special day all in one book. This is something we can all look back on in the years to come and feel the joy that day brought! I vow to read through that book with her every year on her birthday. It will be our special tradition.
