These three inspirational books for little girls will help your daughters blossom into confident, kind, and incredible human-beings!
Why These Three Inspirational Books for Little Girls
Ever since my oldest daughter was little she loved reading books. As a baby she would sit there, content, flipping through books all on her own. We read a lot to her and she really enjoyed it. Although my second little girl doesn’t enjoy it nearly as much we still make time to read to her as well. Our house is filled with children’s books of all kinds. Joie has her favorites but as a mom, I certainly have mine. They may not mean much to her now but I love a book that empowers the mind of developing children, especially my own two little girls. I want them to know they are worthy, they are capable and they should ALWAYS follow their dreams no matter the obstacles they may face. Here are the 3 books I believe every parent should read to their little girls!
Three Inspirational Books for Little Girls
1. Do Princesses Wear Hiking Books by Carmela Lavigna Coyle by Carmela Lavigna Coyle:
Boy or girl, we know all kids ask a lot of questions to their parents. This book guides you through a series of questions asked from a daughter and answered by her re-assuring mother. This book is a lesson for all little girls that they can be whatever they want to be in this world and the first step is accepting who they are. It stresses in a relatable way how they shouldn’t try to be somebody that they are not but rather be who they want to be. Every little girl and parent can get a smile out of reading this one!
2. Lola The Lollipop Fairy by Tim Bugbird:
We received this book by my sister-in-law, I think the biggest attraction was that it was my daughter’s name but it has quickly become a favorite and one I recommend to all my mommy friends with little girls. This book is great for them to learn that team work, as well as, hard work do indeed pay off. In a world of selfishness it is a great lesson to show young girls that by working together, working hard, thinking outside of the box and believing in yourself you can achieve anything! The entire story from beginning to end is fun, intriguing and uplifting. This is a must have for sure.
3. Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You by Nancy Tillman:
This one may not be gender specific but it is certainly a MUST have book for your daughters. To reassure your little one that no matter where they are, what they’re doing, you are there and you love them. No matter the mistakes they may make, your love is infinite. Your love is a gift that keeps on giving. My favorite part is the last page. It is there that it stresses to the child that you should never be afraid to, “march to the front of your own parade.” Believe in yourself, know you have a support system and trust that our love will always be there. This book is heart-warming in every way!
I hope you enjoyed this short list I complied and if you have any other must have books please list them below! I am always looking to expand our collection of inspirational books for little girls. Thank you!
