Golf is a favorite past time for my husband and I so when we had our first daughter we knew we wanted to get her involved eventually. That was solidified when she started having such an interest in watching us at the driving range or when watching a golf tournament on the televison. One afternoon, I went into a local pro shop and asked where the smallest clubs they sold were and I was directed to set that read 4-6 years old. At 2 years old I knew that wasn’t going to work but I also knew I wanted to equip her with something a little more substantial than the plastic ones I saw at the toy store. That’s when I came across this brand their amazing outlook on golf: Start Younger, Play Longer: The Littlest Golfer.
The First Set Training Clubs from The Littlest Golfer was everything I was looking for and more! The best part was that this set is designed for children just 18 months through 5 years old! Not only are they the perfect size for my daughter but also the clubs themselves teach her the right grip from the start. I didn’t even know how to properly grip my own club for a while and these make it fool proof for the little ones to pick up immediately due to the molded handgrips. Once they’re comfortable with how to grip their club and keep control of the ball the rest will come naturally with time and practice! These clubs also come with an instructional video to help teach techniques for the littlest golfer who will be using them.
We had such a blast taking our daughter to the putting green to try out her clubs for the first time and go over some basics with her. I think this TLG First Set Training Clubs will be a great tool for her to build confidence in her game from an early age. The foam practice balls are also a huge plus for me. They aren’t too heavy and make hands on practice much safer than if she were to use a real golf ball. We took her over to the hole and just let her role it in a few times to show her the motion and basic point of the game: get the ball in the hole! After she got use to the idea we set her up and she did surprisingly well for her first time. I truly think the design of the clubs was the reason for this and I can’t wait to get her out again!
If you’re a family of golfers and believe in The Littlest Golfer’s mentality of starting them young than these are the clubs for you! There are two sets you can choose from found here. There is one set for ages 18 months through 3 years old and then ages 3 years old to 5 years old. Don’t forget to get your little one some clothes for their adventures too. The Littlest Golfer also has an adorable line of little golfer apparel as you can see pictured on my girls here. Check out their shop now! You can also find out more about this brand on their own blog found here.
I hope you all enjoyed this, I am so glad I found this company and I’m sure you will be too!
